Health, dignity, and family life should never depend on wealth. Through a socialist lens, the abortion disparities shown here call attention to the material pressures facing Black women and other marginalized communities: economic insecurity, unequal access to care, and inadequate support for raising children.

In a capitalist health system, pharmaceutical corporations earn from drug sales, private insurers seek profits from premiums, and for-profit medical facilities earn from paid services. Human needs become sources of revenue while working families shoulder the costs. These CDC figures document disparities; they do not establish abortion-specific corporate profits or deliberate racial targeting.

Healthcare justice demands for accessible  health care, just wages, affordable housing, childcare, and the freedom to make reproductive decisions without economic coercion. Communities deserve the resources to raise healthy families.
